At Offline, we believe your real-world adventures should stay private. We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about how we handle any data. Most of your data never leaves your device, as we prioritize a local-first approach to ensure your memories and habits remain entirely under your control.
All preferences, collections, activity completions, and custom activities are stored locally on your device using MMKV, a high-performance key-value storage. We have no cloud database and do not sync your personal activity data to any external servers. This architecture ensures that your data is accessible even without an internet connection and remains private by default.
When you choose to add custom images to your activities, the app uses the photo library permissions to reference or store those files locally. These photos stay on your device and are never uploaded, processed, or shared by us. If you delete an image from your device gallery, it may affect its visibility within the app as we do not maintain a separate cloud copy.

We use Sentry to collect anonymized crash reports and stack traces when something goes wrong. This data—which includes device model, OS version, and technical error logs—helps us identify and fix bugs quickly to improve app stability. Additionally, any feedback you voluntarily submit via our in-app feedback form is sent to Sentry so we can review and act on your suggestions.
Expo is used to deliver over-the-air (OTA) updates to the app. This allows us to push critical bug fixes or new activity content directly to you without requiring a full App Store update. Expo may collect basic device identifiers to verify that your device receives the correct update version compatible with your operating system.
You retain full ownership and control over all data created within the app. Since we do not store your information on our servers, you can exercise your right to "be forgotten" simply by uninstalling the app, which wipes all local data. For those who wish to move their data or keep a backup, we provide a built-in Export tool in the settings that generates a portable JSON file containing your entire app history.
